Laser Hemorrhoid Treatment
Hemorrhoidal diseases are frequently seen in our society. Hemorrhoids, which usually occur due to mistakes in nutrition and toilet habits, negatively affect daily life. With the developing technology, hemorrhoid patients can be discharged on the same day after 20 minutes of laser treatment.
Surgical intervention may be required in those who cannot be successful with medical treatment. These methods are applying rubber bands to the packs, coagulation with laser or ultrasonic devices, or excision of hemorrhoids using surgical methods, and hemorrhoidopexy surgeries with the longo stapler method.
In 3rd and 4th stage hemorrhoidal disease, with a tiny incision made on the sacs, the thin laser probe enters the hemorrhoids and coagulates the vessels. It helps the veins and hemorrhoids to disappear by shrinking the hemorrhoids. The incision made during this procedure is around 2 mm. The procedure takes approximately twenty minutes under general or spinal anesthesia (waist numbing) in the operating room. Significant pain, tenderness is not expected. In appropriate cases, they can be discharged on the same day. Excessive pain is not expected during the convalescence period. The most important advantage of this type of surgery is that there is no obvious open wound in the patient.
